The EP Performance

The Edwinson Performance (EP) model is the first model I developed as a guitar maker, back in year 2000. Since then, the Performance guitar has undergone a gradual evolution, and has been customized in all sorts of ways. I’ve incorporated Ryan-style armrest bevels, Venetian and Florentine cutaways, the new “Element” style bridge, auxiliary side sound ports, a new series of “Asym” rosettes...and even a seven-string, multiscale, semi-baritone version.

The Edwinson Performance guitar is my largest model, close to an “SJ” or “Grand Auditorium” size designation. This is the “Concert Grand” of the Edwinson lineup. The EP is 16 3/16” inches wide in the lower bout, so it’s a full-sized guitar,  with a lot of power and projection. It’s built to be highly responsive, with a very colorful tone, balanced, even response, incredible sustain, and a lot of volume. Depending on your mood, the EP Performance guitar can go from Hummingbird Kiss to Junkyard Dog without skipping a beat. This guitar is great for all kinds of playing styles, and it can be optimized for fingerstyle, plectrum, or rhythm playing, if you want to put a finer edge on it.

Scale lengths on this guitar range from 25’ to 27 1/4”, and all other aspects of this guitar are fully customizable to the player’s preference.
